Congratulations to our 2021-20202 award winner! Our Assistant Principal of the year is Mr. Shawn Havill from V. Sue Cleveland High School in Rio Rancho! NASSP National Principal of the Year Program To get started, visit https://nasspawards.org/poy/state/nm: The NASSP National Principal of the Year program recognizes outstanding middle level and high school principals who have succeeded in providing high-quality learning opportunities for students as well as demonstrating exemplary contributions to the profession. Selection Process Each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the Department of Defense Education Activity select one middle level and one high school principal to represent their state. From these state winners, six finalists (three middle level, three high school) are named as contenders for the National Principal of the Year award. The NASSP National Principal of the Year is selected from among the finalists and receive a $5,000 grant. The four finalists receive a $1,500 grant. Recognition NASSP honors all State Principals of the Year at the Principal’s Institute held each year in Washington, DC.
